Guided walks program

The 2019 Guided Walks Program is now available

This is a free program of walks that explores the heritage, art and historical treasures of the seven neighbourhood precincts of Port Phillip. Walking is great for learning about our heritage. It is also great for our environment, great for our health and great for connecting to our neighbours.

Walks are listed on our What's On Events Calendar. Bookings are essential through the Trybooking link on each walk page.

Bookings open four weeks before the walk date and are subject to change.

If the walk you have selected is booked out, you will be directed to the waiting list and you will be notified if a place becomes available.

Email walking@portphillip.vic.gov.au if you would like a brochure posted to you.

Numbers are limited to twenty places. All walks start and finish at the same place unless otherwise advised.

Cancellations

Please advise of your cancellation prior to the weekend of the walk by phone, email or throught the Trybooking system.

What to bring

Wear comfortable walking shoes and dress carefully for the weather. Walks proceed whatever the forecast! If rain seems likely, bring an umbrella.

All ages are welcome

All walks are conducted at a leisurely pace. Arrive five minutes early so walks can depart from the meeting point at the scheduled time. Walking participants are responsible for the safety of the children in their care, following any safety directions and obeying legal requirements including traffic.

Accessibility varies from walk to walk. For advice please email walking@portphillip.vic.gov.au or phone the Walks line on 9209 6522.

Getting there

For public transport information visit ptv.vic.gov.au. Check for road closures at vicroads.vic.gov.au as many events take place in the City of Port Phillip.
