Guided walks program

The 2020 Guided Walks Program is now available

This is a free program of walks that explores the heritage, art and historical treasures of the seven neighbourhood precincts of Port Phillip. Walking is great for learning about our heritage. It is also great for our environment, great for our health and great for connecting to our neighbours.

Walks are listed on our Events Calendar.

Bookings are essential and open four weeks before the scheduled walk date.

All walks start and finish at the same place unless otherwise advised. Guided walks are subject to change.

If the walk you have selected is booked out, you will be directed to the waiting list and you will be notified if a place becomes available.

Numbers are limited to twenty places.

Overbooking: we often increase the number of available bookings by up to 25% to ensure our walks are attended in full. This is because we experience natural attrition for our free art and heritage programs.

Please advise by phone or email of your cancellation prior to the weekend of the walk.

What to bring

Wear comfortable walking shoes and dress carefully for the weather. If rain seems likely, bring an umbrella.

Walks will be cancelled in the event of extreme heat. Please check the website for up-to-date information.

All ages are welcome

All walks are conducted at a leisurely pace. Arrive five minutes early so walks can depart from the meeting point at the scheduled time.

Walking participants are responsible for the safety of the children in their care, following any safety directions and obeying legal requirements including traffic.

Accessibility varies from walk to walk. For advice please email or ring the walks booking line on 9209 6522.
