People & places

The City of Port Phillip region has a long history and a rich heritage, which starts with the First People of the Yalukit Wilum and the Kulin Nation, who have lived here for over 50,000 years. Since European settlers started to arrive in the mid 1830s the area has changed dramatically in appearance and character.

The stories here open a door onto this rich heritage which is yours to enjoy, to share and explore.
